Struggling with addiction can put a person’s entire world on pause. While inpatient treatment programs tend to get the best results, many people in Portland are not in positions to drop their responsibilities to enter an inpatient program. In order to help people get the treatment they need, Crestview Recovery has developed an evening intensive outpatient program to provide outpatient rehab services to people with daytime responsibilities. Clients in an evening outpatient program attend work or school during the day and outpatient rehab in the evenings. Afterward, clients return home to sleep.
While an evening intensive outpatient program might seem like a packed schedule, staying busy is often helpful for people in the early stages of recovery. When clients begin feeling solid, they can choose to attend AA or NA meetings in place of outpatient treatment. These meetings are free and excellent for people who are confident in their recovery and want to stay that way.
Intensive Outpatient vs. Partial Hospitalization
Often, when people consider addiction treatment services, they imagine a partial hospitalization program. In these programs, clients stay in sober living homes while attending daytime treatment services at the Crestview Recovery facility. However, these programs require clients to suspend their obligations to focus on treatment. For many, this isn’t possible.
An intensive outpatient program allows clients to get the quality treatment they need without risking their livelihoods. Our evening intensive outpatient program works especially well for those with daytime obligations that only have time for themselves in the evening.
Why Choose an Evening Intensive Outpatient Program?
At Crestview Recovery, our evening intensive outpatient program is perfect for individuals who need addiction treatment programs but can’t sacrifice their daily obligations. We host intensive outpatient sessions three times a week after 5 p.m. to accommodate those with busy schedules.
Our three-hour evening intensive outpatient program sessions take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week. During these sessions, clients spend time discussing their lives and struggles in a group setting, providing support for others, meeting individually with a therapist, and participating in an activity related to recovery.
This regular participation in a substance use treatment program can help individuals remain steady on their roads to recovery at a pace that works for them.
Is Evening IOP Right for Me?
Although our evening intensive outpatient program is perfect for many people, it’s not suitable for everyone. When you’re looking into addiction treatment services, there are a few questions you should ask yourself:
- How severe is my addiction? What level of care do I need?
- Can I afford to take time away from work and family obligations?
- Am I available in the evening for IOP sessions?
- Are there any stressors at home that will make IOP difficult?
- What kind of support system do I have?
Evening intensive outpatient program sessions can be perfect for those with busy daytime schedules, or those who completed a partial hospitalization program and want support as they transition back into daily life. Whatever the circumstances, it’s important to discuss your options for recovery with a Crestview Recovery counselor and your loved ones.
