Being codependent can make life difficult. When children are raised that way, they often don’t understand how to live independently and make decisions on their own. They may struggle with being people-pleasers, and they may focus on external validation. As they move into adulthood, they continue those patterns of wanting to do things for others. Then neglect self-care and their happiness for the requirements and demands of others. The signs of codependency can be subtle or more obvious, depending on the person. At Crestview Recovery, we can help you break the codependency cycle and live a healthy life.
