Are you unable to leave home? Do you worry about the complications from COVID? Yet, at the same time, you know you still need to have access to drug and alcohol treatment. When you are in these situations, you may be unsure of what steps to take to reach recovery. Our telehealth treatment program may help you. Learn more about how it works through Crestview Recovery.
What Is a Telehealth Treatment Program?
A telehealth treatment program aims to provide individuals with the one-on-one support they need from their homes. There are many reasons why you may wish to get help right away, but you cannot come into an office. You may have no ability to leave your home due to other responsibilities. You may not have time or a way to drive in to care. You know you need that care, but you cannot attend an appointment. This is when telehealth services can help you.
How Does it Work?
Our team works with you to create the best experience for you. You may need to come in for an initial consultation in some cases. However, our telehealth treatment program can still provide you with a wide range of support, if not. Consider the following therapy options:
- Outpatient treatment
- Intensive outpatient treatment
- Sober living options
Over the Phone
Telehealth services are those that are conducted over the phone or video chat. You set a time for your appointment. When that time comes, we give you a call. You can talk to your therapist anywhere like this. You do not need to leave home or any other location, even work. You will need to be able to give your therapist your undivided attention during your appointment. You’ll have the same type of therapy as an in-person individual counseling session, but it’s done all over the phone.
Video Chats
You may also benefit from using telehealth treatment programs through video chat. In these opportunities, you will follow the same process of setting up an appointment time. Then, you’ll connect with our team through a video conferencing app or tool. We choose only those applications that offer the most protection for your privacy while still being reliable. Once your appointment time comes, you can see and talk to your therapist as if you are in the same room. You will need a smartphone, tablet computer, laptop, or another tool to help you use this service. We can help walk you through the process.
Finding Additional Help for Managing Addiction
Your needs are always important to use. That is why there are many types of telehealth services available to you. That includes web-based programs that are available 24-hours a day. In some cases, you may be able to text our team or your therapist for a bit of support. You may also do well with virtual reality, a new and cutting-edge type of therapy.
When Can You Use These Services?
Your needs are going to play a big role in this type of care. If you need extended care treatment, telehealth may not be the right option for you. However, in some cases where you are able to benefit from outpatient therapy, we can use telehealth treatment services. We may recommend them for care for needs such as:
- Cocaine addiction treatment
- Prescription drug addiction treatment
- Methadone addiction treatment
- Opioid addiction rehab treatment
- Meth addiction rehab treatment
Mindfulness Training
The mindfulness practices we teach at Crestview Recovery help participants monitor internal reactions, become aware of personal triggers, and foster more effective behavioral choices. Our therapists focus on increasing acceptance and awareness of the emotional, physical, and cognitive states that increase the likelihood of relapsing. Pretending that cravings don’t exist unfortunately does not help people avoid them. Our treatment exercises also help participants increase self-efficacy and self-worth, which have also been shown to lower the possibility of relapse.
Addiction Treatment on Your Schedule
Many of our clients at Crestview begin their addiction recovery in a medical detox program. This inpatient model provides essential support and structure in the early days of recovery. Devastating withdrawal symptoms during detox from drugs and alcohol discourage people from getting sober. Still, an experienced medical team and constant support can give you the comfort and support you need. At Crestview Recovery, we offer medication-assisted treatment to help you get through the most difficult parts of detox. An addiction teletherapy program can provide treatment for people without requiring them to leave their homes.
