Holistic rehab is growing in popularity for people recovering from mental health issues. While we rely on research-based treatment options, we also offer holistic therapeutic enhancement for people recovering from drug and alcohol addiction. It is not the sole component of recovery, but it plays a key role at Crestview Recovery.
Art and music are more than activities; stimulating creativity can help some people though cravings and urges. Most people facing drug and alcohol addiction are faced with changes to their physical bodies as well as their mental health. The benefits of holistic treatment include working towards healing. At Crestview Recovery, we want to ensure you have access to the programs that have proven effective for people in the past. We understand that every person is different; what works for one person might not work for everyone else. We look forward to accompanying you on your journey of recovery. It may feel impossible, but recovery is within your reach.
Holistic Treatment
What is really behind this type of treatment? How can you get the benefits of holistic treatment in your life? Take a look at some of the most common benefits you’ll see when you embrace this type of care with us.
Reduces Stress and Anxiety
One of the key benefits of holistic drug rehab is that it works to reduce much of the stress and anxiety you have. During recovery, your body is still looking for your drug of choice. Your brain still craves it, even if it is more manageable. In addition to this, the changes that are happening can create a lot of stress. You may be starting to think about all of those frustrating aspects of your life. Without alcohol or drugs, you can no longer push them aside.
It Improves Sleep
There is a lot of healing that happens during drug and alcohol recovery. Your body needs time to recover holistically. A component of that is through sleep. With holistic therapy, whether it is fitness like yoga or music programs, you are able to feel more at ease. This can help to improve your ability to sleep.
Whole Person Approach
One of the best reasons to use holistic therapy is because it can help to heal you through the whole person approach. That is, instead of focusing just on your drug or alcohol use, we focus on healing your whole body and mind. This is why it is such an important component of your treatment.
Holistic treatment for addiction may include:
- Yoga
- Fitness programs
- Music therapy
- Art therapy
- Experiential therapy – and much more
Along with our holistic treatment, we will use evidence-based therapies such as:
- Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT)
- Dialectical behavior therapy (DBT)
- 12 step recovery
- Mindfulness meditation therapy
- EMDR treatment
When we focus on all of these solutions – both evidence-based and holistic therapy – it is possible to give you the best tools to heal and recover. The benefits of holistic therapy are what you make of them. For many men and women, this is a key opportunity to heal your mind and body from what the drugs have done to you for so long.
